Create a Safety Plan

While you do not have control over your abuser’s violence, you can make you and your children safer by planning actions that will help you deal with the abuse.

Create and use this plan as a guide and reminder to find ways to be safe. If you are concerned that your abuser will find a printout, write the points that apply to you on a piece of paper and hide it in a safe place.

ADELE'S STORY

LISTEN HERE

Adele’s story is based on the lived experience of female survivors of abuse. Listen to her difficult journey from awareness to change.

Think about those you know on the same journey. If Adele’s story is familiar to you then know you are not alone, support is available.

We thank all the survivors who shared their stories to make this possible and who we will not name for privacy and protection reasons.
